and here again in good tradition: for all those who can't get enough: Janus 150.
Tradition: A large, high aspect ratio, powerful and fast kite on the edge of controllability.
This time we took special care to make the kite a little more suitable for everyday use: Reasonably easy to launch, steady boost (well...) and just fast enough to keep up with your eyes.
Made from fine materials in Europe: The canvas is the tried and tested Ventex strong: hardly any stretch, strong and not too heavy. (Ventex strong is no longer produced, we work with what we can still get. But that's also a good tradition. So don't complain about the colors) The frame is made of strong, pulltuded carbon tubes, which should be able to take a bit of punishment, one would think... and if not, there are spare parts at (almost) every corner.
Janus 150 should only be flown by people who clearly know what they are doing: it doesn't need much wind to get airborne, but it needs to be piloted. And in light winds, easy take-off is another matter. Launching is no problem if the wind bends the trees towards the ground. But then please watch your shoulder joints!
All in all, another kite for the deserted island. It just shouldn't be too small.
By the way: currently there seems to be no such thing as suitable Mylar laminate in Europe. For this reason, the production kites do not have a Mylar panel, contrary to what can be seen in some pictures.
